Referrals

At Veterinary Emergency Service, Inc, we provide critical care for your patients any time you are unavailable. Our hospital is open for your referrals at any time. We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We appreciate receiving case transfer and referral calls in order to discuss your case. This helps to ensure a smooth and informed transfer.

Our hospital offers advanced critical care and emergency medical services, such as blood transfusions (we stock packed red blood cells, fresh frozen plasma and oxyglobin), glucose curves, ultrasound, endoscopy, oxygen therapy (Snyder ICU unit, nasal oxygen and hood oxygen are available), emergency soft tissue surgeries (GDV, cesareans, pyometra ovariohysterectomies and exploratory laparotomies are routinely performed).

We are staffed by veterinarians focused on emergency medicine. We have highly trained assistants to provide excellent patient care and anesthesia is provided by registered veterinary technicians.

Outpatient services we provide include Doppler blood pressure measurements, tonometry measurements, on-site laboratory includes cell blood counts, Vettest chemistries, Bile acids, urinalysis, Heska I-Stat, clotting tests (prothrombin time and activated clotting times), crossmatching, ethylene glycol tests, Elisa testing (Parvo, FeLV/FIV, Heartworm/Ehrlicia/Lymes combo), we store cortrosyn to obtain samples for ACTH testing.
