VES was established in 1975 by a group of veterinarians in the Fresno area who wanted to meet the expanding need for after hours, weekend and holiday veterinary care. VES was one of the first such facilities in the nation and we continue to provide 24/7 veterinary emergency and critical care for our small animal friends throughout Fresno and the surrounding communities. VES continues with its present ownership being held by nineteen veterinarians who live and practice in the greater Fresno area.
